Understanding Shpickle Fits: Slim, Tailored & Loose

Understanding Shpickle Fits: Slim, Tailored & Loose

By Courtney Manton

Choosing the right scrubs is about more than just picking your usual size. Size and fit are not the same thing, and understanding the difference will help you feel confident and comfortable throughout your shift.

At Shpickle, all garments follow the same size chart and grading, but each style is designed with a different fit profile. This means a size 8 in one style may feel different from a size 8 in another even though the sizing itself hasn’t changed.

Slim Fit

Styles: Nicola, Nadia, Fahmeeda

Slim Fit styles are designed to follow the natural lines of the body while still allowing for movement and comfort. They create a more shaped silhouette without restricting your workday mobility.

Best for: Those who prefer a fitted, flattering scrub that moves with your body.

Tailored Fit

Styles: Karlien, Jocelyn, Susan, Kimmie

Tailored Fit styles offer a polished, structured look that sits neatly on the body without clinging. Styles like Susan and Jocelyn are designed with side slits and a slightly relaxed cut, so they will feel looser than a Slim Fit, giving extra room and freedom of movement. These styles balance form and comfort, providing a professional silhouette with just enough ease.

Best for: Those who prefer a structured but comfortable fit, with a balance between fitted and relaxed.

Loose Fit

Styles: Jabulani, Leilah, Katya

Loose Fit styles are designed for maximum comfort and relaxed movement. These scrubs often feature an elongated back for extra coverage and a roomy silhouette that doesn’t restrict your day-to-day tasks.

Best for: Those who prefer a relaxed, generous fit with extra comfort and ease of movement.

Why the Same Size Can Feel Different

Even though all Shpickle scrubs follow the same size chart, the cut and design of each style affects how it feels on the body:

  • Slim Fit: Sits closer to the body
  • Tailored Fit : Structured without hugging the body; side slits in Susan and Jocelyn create extra room
  • Loose Fit: Extra room for a relaxed feel

This means a size 8 Fahmeeda will feel more fitted than a size 8 Susan or Jocelyn, even though the size number is identical.

If you like a more shaped silhouette, Slim Fit styles are your go-to.
If you prefer a relaxed feel with room to move, Tailored Fit styles like Susan or Jocelyn  or Loose Fit styles will be most comfortable.
Tailored Fit styles without side slits, like Karlien and Kimmie, offer the best of both worlds, providing structure without feeling tight.
